What is Membership At Uniontown About?

The mission of Uniontown Bible Church is to become a holy people of the Holy God glorifying Him by imaging and proclaiming Jesus. The bottom line is this: Uniontown is about our God not about us.

We live in a world of ‘Me-ism.’ It’s all about me, my needs, my wants and my desires. Unfortunately, that has crept into the church as well. Christians shop around to find the church that best suits what they want.  We want you to know up front – we don’t believe this church exists primarily to meet your needs. It exists to bring honor to our God.

Our first and foremost objective must be giving Him glory. It’s only as we put Him first that we will discover He is the best ‘Need Meeter’ in existence. As Jesus said so many years ago, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt 6:33). 

The very best thing this church has going for it is Jesus. That’s what we offer you. And we have no reason to boast of that because it’s only by His grace that He presents Himself to you through this place.  

Becoming a member at Uniontown Bible Church involves a number of steps. Completing a Bible study booklet entitled “Discovering Membership” is the first of these steps. We want you to understand what the Bible teaches concerning church membership. This booklet, then, will lead you through the key passages in the Word of God that explain membership in the body of Christ.
